Blue Crabs Come Back Late to Clip Red Wings
|
Giomar Guevara made an impact in the 6-4 Ocean City win over Rochester. Guevara was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Brian Bevil picked up the save for Ocean City, his 9th of the year. Rochester, at 6-15, is off to a poor start in 1998.
Ocean City used the bat of Jeff Abbott to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blue Crabs ahead, 6-4. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Abbott told the Ocean City Daily News.
