Jolbert Cabrera did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Asheville Moonshiners from losing, 6-5, to the Buffalo Bisons at Aspinwall Grounds. Cabrera was 3-5 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Tim Fortugno was credited with the save for Buffalo, his 3rd of the season. Buffalo has now reeled off 6 straight wins.

Buffalo took the lead in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Gregg Zaun stroked a run-scoring single to make it 6-5, Bisons.

Zaun called the triumph "a good team win."
