Blue Crabs Win at Brooklyn, 4-2
|
Ocean City rode a fine outing from starter Kevin Jarvis to victory over the Brooklyn Cyclones at Ballpark of Fremont. The final score was 4-2. Jarvis picked up the win for Ocean City, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. Brian Bevil, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 12th save.
It could have been a different outcome for Ocean City, had it not been for Giomar Guevara, the 25-year old shortstop . Guevara contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning to put Ocean City up, 1-0.
"Kevin was throwing free and easy," said Ocean City manager .
At 17-12, the Blue Crabs find themselves in second place in the Atlantic Southeast.
