The Jacksonville Suns beat the Asheville Moonshiners, 6-4, at Torrance Grounds. Jacksonville designated hitter Mario Valdez earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 4 for 6 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times. The Suns, now 15-16, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.
