Blue Crabs Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
The Blue Crabs had to overcome a good performance from Danville pitcher Tim Worrell to claim a 6-5 win at Fire Dogs Ballpark. Worrell went 7 innings and allowed no earned runs. Ocean City now has a 3-game win streak.
The Ocean City win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Scott Leius. In the bottom of the tenth, the Ocean City third baseman came to bat and hit a walk-off solo home run. It staked his team to a 6-5 lead.
"There's no quit in this team," said Blue Crabs manager .
