Whalers Prove Rude Guests, Win 8-3 at Buffalo
Hartford pitcher Shawn Estes did his part in helping his team beat the Buffalo Bisons, 8-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Estes went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 3, and struck out 8. His record improves to 6-2. The Whalers bumped their record to 26-23 with this latest triumph.

Hartford used the timely hitting of Quinton McCracken to capture the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Whalers on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," McCracken told the Hartford Daily.
