Hartford pitcher Robert Person did his part in helping his team beat the Buffalo Bisons, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Paul Byrd, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save. Hartford occupies second place in the Atlantic Northeast at 27-23.

It could have been a different outcome for Hartford, had it not been for Mark DeRosa, the 23-year old third baseman . DeRosa contributed a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put Hartford up, 4-3.

"We did enough to win," said DeRosa.
