Bisons Pull Even With 9-4 Victory
The Buffalo Bisons beat the Savannah Swamp Foxes, 9-4, at Aspinwall Grounds. The win was largely due to the efforts of second baseman Jay Canizaro, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Buffalo now owns a record of 32-32.

David Howard had a big run-scoring single for the Bisons in the bottom of the third inning. With Buffalo leading 4-3 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Ben Ford and stroked the single to left. It was his 56th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bisons ahead, 5-3.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Howard.
