Blue Crabs Solve Dairy Daddies, 6-2
|
The Ocean City Blue Crabs got a stellar effort from pitcher Chad Ogea, helping Ocean City score a 6-2 win over the visiting Danville Dairy Daddies. Ogea, now 8-5, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 4, and allowing 1 earned run. Brian Bevil converted his 20th save in 23 tries.
Craig Shipley's at-bat in the bottom of the second inning was a big one for Ocean City. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Ocean City leading 1-0, the third baseman hit a 2-run single.
"We've got a great group of guys," Shipley said, "and we're having fun right now."
The Blue Crabs have an impressive 41-26 record.
