Jones Excels, But Red Sox Win
Chipper Jones had a good game, but he could not keep the Milwaukee Creams from falling, 10-5, to the Boston Red Sox at Milwaukee County Stadium. The Milwaukee third baseman went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice in the loss. The Creams fall to 8-11 and continue to sputter in the early going.

An important at-bat for the Red Sox came in the top of the third, when right fielder Dante Bichette stroked a 2-run double. That made the score 4-2 in favor of Boston. For the day, Bichette went 1-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Bichette said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
