Suns Fall to .500 After Loss to Beasties
The inspired effort of Jacksonville left fielder Rich Butler was not enough to prevent a 6-5 loss to the Bluff City Beasties. Butler went 2-4 with 2 home runs. The 5th-place Beasties raised their record to 42-50.

Bluff City took a 6-5 lead on Robert Machado's 23rd hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Machado hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Jacksonville pitcher Ricky Bones shaking his head.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Machado told the Bluff City Herald.
