Bisons Lose, 4-1, at Paradise Grounds
|
The Savannah Swamp Foxes got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher David Nied, but it was good enough for the club to take a 4-1 decision over the Buffalo Bisons. Nied went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 8-9. The Swamp Foxes bumped their record to 50-47 with this latest triumph.
One significant at-bat for Savannah came with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the bottom of the fourth. Swamp Foxes catcher Melvin Rosario hit a 2-run double, which helped Savannah go on to win.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Rosario. "And not try to do too much."
