Great Day for Gibson in Cyclones Win
The Brooklyn Cyclones downed the Bluff City Beasties, 9-4, at Ravens Ballpark. The Cyclones were led by Derrick Gibson, who captured player of the game honors. He was 4-5 with a home run and 3 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. Brooklyn, now 44-61, holds 5th place in the Atlantic Northeast.

One important at-bat for Brooklyn came with two out in the top of the first inning. With a runner on 3rd, Gibson hit a 2-run home run, which contributed to the Cyclones win.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Gibson told the Brooklyn Chronicle.
