Suns Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Angel Echevarria, the Jacksonville Suns defeated the Rochester Red Wings, 7-4. Echevarria went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Suns. This loss makes it 33 in a row for Rochester.
Echevarria had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-2 curveball from Dale Polley, he banged a grand slam home run to left-center, giving the Suns a 7-4 lead. It was the 18th home run of the year for Echevarria.
"This losing is getting old," said Rochester manager .
