Beasties Win at Savannah, 6-2
|
Shane Spencer helped his team muscle past the Savannah Swamp Foxes, 6-2. In the game, the Bluff City right fielder went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. Bluff City reliever Joey Long picked up the win, upping his record to 4-4. David Nied shouldered the loss. Cliff Brantley converted his 1st save in 2 tries.
Scott Brosius contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the first. With the bases loaded, he hit a sacrifice fly. It was one at-bat that helped Bluff City get the win.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Spencer.
The Beasties now own a record of 51-67.
