Frye Gets 5 Hits
The New Orleans Brass stopped the Spokane River Rats by a score of 13-6 at Bay Hawks Ballpark today, with the lion's share of the credit going to second baseman Jeff Frye. The 31-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Frye said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Frye did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the River Rats.

"Not much that I can say," offered Spokane manager . "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Jeff Frye singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

Looking at his stats this year, Frye has compiled a .519 batting average, while hitting no home runs and driving in 3 runs. He has played in 6 games and scored 6 runs.
