Chukars Mow Down River Rats, 13-3
|
The Idaho Falls Chukars got production from their entire lineup in an easy 13-3 win over the Spokane River Rats. Player of the game honors went to center fielder Dax Jones. Jones went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Idaho Falls reliever Allen McDill picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Brian Dubois was saddled with the loss. The Chukars are off to a tough start, getting just their 4th win in 10 games.
Idaho Falls used the timely hitting of Dave Hansen to capture the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Chukars on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"We did a lot of things right," said Hansen.
