In a tight contest at Texans Stadium, the San Antonio Missions edged the Tucson Tarantulas by the score of 4-3. San Antonio first baseman Troy Neel, who blasted 2 home runs, was named the player of the game. The Missions have hit the ground running, raising their record to 11-5. While it's still too soon to talk about San Antonio hoisting their 1st World Series trophy, fans are getting excited about their strong start.
In the bottom of the ninth, Neel had one of his most important at-bats: a solo home run off Keith Foulke that staked the Missions to a 4-3 lead.
"This wasn't a good win," said Neel. "It was a great win."
