Storm Chasers Fall Short, 5-4, at Portland
Portland third baseman Scott Stahoviak made his presence felt in the 5-4 Stag triumph over the Omaha Storm Chasers. Stahoviak went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Scott Karl, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 4 runs on 10 hits in 8 innings. Vic Darensbourg got the save, the 3rd for him this season.

Stahoviak had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the first inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Stag went on to win.

The Storm Chasers fall to 6-9 and continue their lackluster start in 1998.
