Stag Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Brass

Portland Stag starter Steve Trachsel turned in a top-notch performance against the New Orleans Brass at Bay Hawks Ballpark. The result was a win for the Stag, 4-2. The win gives the Stag a record of 10-11.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Butch Huskey came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing New Orleans pitcher Jeff Tam, he hit a 1-1 slider for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Portland on top, 4-2.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Portland manager . "Our pregame was pretty good."
