Chicago right-hander Scott Chiamparino made an effective start against the Boston Red Sox at Wrigley Field, leading his team to a 4-1 win. Chiamparino got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Chiamparino allowed no earned runs. The Red Sox fall to 11-11 and continue their uneasy start to the 1998 season.
