Portland catcher Mark Strittmatter had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the San Antonio Missions, 6-4. Portland reliever Carlos Castillo picked up the win to move to 1-0. Terry Mathews suffered the loss. Vic Darensbourg locked down his 6th save.

Strittmatter had a big at-bat with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the bottom of the eighth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Stag went on to win.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Strittmatter told the Portland Daily News.

With the loss, San Antonio drops to 14-10.
