Missions Deal Rainiers Painful Loss
|
The Missions faced a stiff challenge from Tacoma pitcher Ryan Dempster, but persevered to claim a win at Texans Stadium. The final score was 2-1. Dempster went 7.2 innings and allowed 1 earned run. San Antonio reliever Braden Looper was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Cliff Young. San Antonio has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
One significant at-bat for San Antonio came with the bases empty in the bottom of the 11th. Missions shortstop Gary Disarcina hit a triple, which helped San Antonio go on to win.
