In a tight game between the Tucson Tarantulas and the Idaho Falls Chukars, pitcher Rick Krivda was terrific on the mound. The Tucson left-hander was named the player of the game in Tucson's 3-1 win. Krivda, the winner, moves to 2-2. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. Earning his 7th save of the year was Keith Foulke.
Ralph Milliard made an early impact for Tucson when he stroked his 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which came with no one out in the top of the third, put the Tarantulas on top, 1-0.

The Tarantulas now have a record of 12-19.
