|
Tacoma beat Portland on the strength of starter Brian Rose's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 4-0 win. At 19-25, the Rainiers find themselves in 5th place in the Pacific West.
In the top of the seventh, Justin Baughman stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Stag were trailing 4-0, but had the bases loaded. That's when Lariel Gonzalez made a terrific pitch and Baughman struck out. Gone was the dream of a Portland comeback.
