Foxes Ballpark was the site of a exceptional pitchers' duel.

The Spokane River Rats got a good effort from starter Bobby M Jones in defeating the Tucson Tarantulas at Foxes Ballpark. The final score was 2-0. The 4th-place Tarantulas have dropped 6 straight games.

John Mabry had a big run-scoring single for the River Rats in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Spokane leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from Rick Krivda and stroked the single to center. It was his 64th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the River Rats ahead, 2-0.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Jones.
