Tucson Tarantulas starter Donovan Osborne was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Spokane River Rats, 4-1. Osborne went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 4, and struck out 2. His record improves to 5-2. Keith Foulke got credit for the save for Tucson. It was his 12th of the year.

Tucson used the timely hitting of Mark Whiten to capture the win. The center fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Tarantulas ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was an important one.
