Sounds Solve Stag, 4-2
Nashville turned a good effort from starter Chris Bosio into a win over the Portland Stag at Red Devils Stadium. The final score was 4-2. In 8 innings, Bosio surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Mitch Williams recorded his 14th save for Nashville.

Had Larry Sutton not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Sutton hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Sounds.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Bosio.

The Sounds raised their record to 27-38.
