Portland Stag (30-52) 0 0 1 0 1 1 0 1 X 4 9 0
Stag Stun Storm Chasers, 4-3
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Portland Stag got the win.

The Portland Stag did just enough to sneak past the Omaha Storm Chasers, 4-3, at Tuttle Fields. Portland second baseman Mike Metcalfe earned player of the game honors. Vic Darensbourg locked down his 18th save.

Had Scott Stahoviak not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Stahoviak hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Stag.

"We put together a nice win," Metcalfe said.

Portland now sits in last place in the Pacific West at 30-52.
