5 Straight Wins for Brass
It was a good time at Bay Hawks Ballpark, where fans came to watch the Portland Stag and New Orleans Brass get after it.

Paul Wagner was superb against Portland. The right-hander, who is tied for 3rd in the PAC with a 8.6 K/9 rate, had a slider that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 5-2 Brass victory. Jeff Tam got the save, his 21st in 23 chances.

Wes Helms, who is rated as the 68th best prospect by BNN, aided the New Orleans cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 4.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Helms said after the game.

The second-place Brass have won 5 straight games.
