Stag Trip Brass, 6-5
The Portland Stag got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher Omar Daal, but it was good enough for the club to take a 6-5 decision over the New Orleans Brass. In 6 innings, Daal surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. Vic Darensbourg notched his 21st save in 25 chances.

Helping the Portland cause was Scott Stahoviak. In the top of the fourth, the top prospect had a run-scoring single to make the score 6-0, Stag.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Daal.

The Stag go to 34-54, putting them last in the Pacific West.
