Brass Solve Rainiers, 4-3

Miranda, now 6-7, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 3, walking 5, and allowing 3 earned runs. Jeff Tam was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 22 of 24 save opportunities.

The Brass got a lift from shortstop Eric Chavez who had a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning off Brian Rose. It was his 30th double of the season and put New Orleans in front, 4-3.

"If you ever get this game figured out," said Tacoma manager , "let me know."

With the victory, the Brass record now stands at 55-38.
