Multi-HR Day for Kelly as Rainiers Overpower Tarantulas, 10-7
Mike R Kelly added some punch to the Tacoma offense, helping them outmuscle the Tucson Tarantulas, 10-7. In the game, Kelly, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1993 draft, was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Jeff Kubenka, credited with the save, is now 3 for 8 in save opportunities. The third-place Rainiers lifted their record to 48-53.

It could have been a different outcome for Tacoma, had it not been for Troy Glaus, the top prospect . Glaus contributed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Tacoma up, 5-3.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Tacoma skipper .
