Stag Edge Chukars, 6-5
|
Portland Stag starter Omar Daal pitched a strong game against the Idaho Falls Chukars at Tuttle Fields, leading the Stag to a 6-5 win. Kerry Ligtenberg notched his 5th save in 6 chances. The last-place Chukars have dropped 8 straight games.
Scott Stahoviak had a nice at-bat for the Stag with one out in the bottom of the fourth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, the first baseman hit a sacrifice fly, which would prove important in the Portland win.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Stahoviak told the Portland Daily News. "It's as simple as that."
