Stag Prove Rude Guests, Win 6-4 at Tacoma
Stag designated hitter Mike Macfarlane put his stamp on his team's 6-4 win over the Tacoma Rainiers. Macfarlane went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times for Portland in the contest. Tacoma has now lost 5 straight.

It could have been a different outcome for Portland, had it not been for Mike Metcalfe, the 25-year old second baseman . Metcalfe contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Portland up, 5-4.

"We need to keep playing good baseball," Metcalfe told the Portland Daily News.
