Helling Fires Shutout in Spokane Win
The Spokane River Rats rolled to an easy 8-0 win over the San Antonio Missions at Foxes Ballpark today. Leading the way to victory was starter Rick Helling, who shackled the San Antonio Missions and held them scoreless on a 3-hitter.

"This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Helling said in his postgame press conference.

Helling has taken the mound for no relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 12-9 record with a 4.46 ERA. The Spokane reliever has limited opposing batters to a .248 batting average.
