Storm Chasers Prevail, 6-4, Over Portland
|
The Omaha Storm Chasers topped the Portland Stag, 6-4, with youngster Kevin Witt playing a key role. Witt went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Storm Chasers in the win. Scott Arnold, credited with the save, is now 12 for 12 in save opportunities. Omaha has now won 4 straight.
With Omaha leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Witt hit a fastball from Dave Burba for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Storm Chasers ahead, 5-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Witt said.
