Stag Trip Storm Chasers, 5-4
The Portland Stag did just enough to sneak past the Omaha Storm Chasers, 5-4, at Maples Stadium. Portland pitcher Ron Blazier earned player of the game honors. Blazier picked up the win for Portland, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 5-7. Kerry Ligtenberg earned the save for Portland, his 9th.

Portland relied on the hitting of Mike Macfarlane to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Stag on top, 4-3. For the game, Macfarlane had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We found a way to get it done," Blazier said.

The Stag now have a mark of 50-65.
