Chukars Get Road Win, 8-4
|
The Colorado Springs Sky Sox and Idaho Falls Chukars cranked it up at Motors Ballpark.
The Colorado Springs Sky Sox got a superb performance from pitcher Brian Bohanon, but the Idaho Falls Chukars still won the game, 8-4. Bohanon was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. At 44-77, the Chukars find themselves in last place in the Pacific Central.
It could have been a different outcome for Idaho Falls, had it not been for Andy Stankiewicz, the 33-year old second baseman . Stankiewicz contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Idaho Falls up, 5-3.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Idaho Falls manager .
