The Danville Dairy Daddies and the Hartford Whalers will take the League Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. Facing a must-win situation today, the Dairy Daddies shut out the Whalers 3-0 at Kernels Ballpark to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Danville left-hander Shinji Imanaka was named player of the game in the win after a strong outing in which he threw 9 innings of shutout ball.

Imanaka gave Danville a solid start. The left-hander allowed no runs on 6 hits over 9 innings.

"This team is real focused right now," said Danville manager .

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Kernels Ballpark in Danville. The scheduled starters for the game are John Ericks for Hartford and Chris Bosio for Danville.
