Anderson goes 4-for-4, Leads Creams to Win
|
The Milwaukee Creams defeated the Florida Marlins, 9-6, at Joe Robbie Stadium today. Leading the charge for Milwaukee was right fielder Garret Anderson. He went 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Jeff Calhoun finished the game for Milwaukee and earned his 8th save. The win brings the Creams to 13-18, a soft start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
With two out in the top of the ninth, Tom Goodwin barreled up a fastball from Bryan Harvey. The result was a grand slam home run, putting the Creams in front, 9-6.
"We take it day by day here," said Goodwin, "and today was a good one for us."
