Red Sox Rally to Eke Out Win
The Boston Red Sox overcame a good performance by Minnesota designated hitter Kal Daniels to knock off Minnesota, 8-7, at Metrodome. Daniels was 4-6 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Frank DiPino nailed down his 1st save. The Red Sox now have a record of 19-31.

Boston relied on the bat of Phil B. Clark to get the win. The first baseman ripped a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Red Sox ahead, 6-4. For the game, Clark had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Clark.
