Red Sox Shut Out Creams
The Boston Red Sox picked up a win at Fenway Park, knocking off the Milwaukee Creams, 4-0. Starting pitcher Roger Salkeld, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Salkeld went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 6-3. Picking up the save was Joe Borowski, his 6th.

The Red Sox got a lift from center fielder Oddibe McDowell, who in the bottom of the third hit a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Red Sox on top, 2-0.

"Baseball is about momentum," said McDowell, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."

Boston is now 20-32, while Milwaukee is 22-29.
