Young Goes Distance in 5-1 Win
|
The Milwaukee Creams picked up a win at Fenway Park, knocking off the Boston Red Sox, 5-1. Starting pitcher Matt Young, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The losses continue to add up for Boston, which has now fallen 8 times in a row.
Young, who finished 4th in the UL in wins with 18 in 1990, pitched a complete game for Milwaukee. Young surrendered 3 hits over 9 innings and struck out 5. With the win, he moves to 3-6 on the season.
"I'd like to pitch a complete game every time," said Young.
