Red Wings Prove Rude Guests, Win 5-3 at Buffalo
Rochester starter John Halama pitched effectively against the Buffalo Bisons at Aspinwall Grounds. The left-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. Halama went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-1. The Red Wings, with just their 3rd win so far in 1998, have yet to catch fire.

It could have been a different outcome for Rochester, had it not been for Damon Mashore, the 28-year old center fielder . Mashore contributed a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put Rochester up, 2-0.
