Blue Crabs Win at Jacksonville, 9-3
|
The Ocean City Blue Crabs topped the Jacksonville Suns, 9-3, with youngster Brad Fullmer playing a key role. Fullmer went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Blue Crabs in the win. Ramon Morel nailed down his 1st save. The Blue Crabs have hit the ground running, raising their record to 10-4. While it's still too soon to talk about Ocean City hoisting their 1st World Series trophy, fans are getting excited about their strong start.
Early in the game, Fullmer had a 2-run double for Ocean City. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Blue Crabs on top, 3-1.
"If it's down the middle," said Fullmer, "you might as well hit it."
