Bisons Win at Danville, 7-4
|
Benefiting from Joey Cora's productive game, the Buffalo Bisons downed the Danville Dairy Daddies, 7-4. Cora was 2 for 5 with a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Bisons. Buffalo reliever Doug Henry picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Willie E Adams took the loss. Tim Fortugno recorded his 2nd save for Buffalo.
Buffalo took a 5-3 lead on Cora's 3rd double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which he hit off Willie E Adams in the top of the seventh, propelled Buffalo to the win.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Bisons manager . "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
Losses have been few and far between for the Dairy Daddies so far this season. Their record drops to 16-8.
