Blue Crabs Rally For Late Win Over Beasties
|
The Ocean City Blue Crabs defeated the Bluff City Beasties, 5-4, at Fire Dogs Ballpark. Ocean City third baseman Scott Leius was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. The Blue Crabs bumped their record to 18-13 with this latest triumph.
Ocean City shortstop Giomar Guevara helped the Blue Crabs go up, 5-4, in the bottom of the ninth inning. With the game tied, Guevara hit a run-scoring single off Bluff City pitcher Ramon Pena.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Ocean City manager .
