Blue Crabs Raise Rally Flag, Beat Savannah, 4-3
|
The Ocean City Blue Crabs topped the Savannah Swamp Foxes, 4-3, in Atlantic action at Fire Dogs Ballpark. The player of the game was Ocean City pitcher and Lexington, Kentucky native Kevin Jarvis. Ocean City reliever Julio Valera was credited with the win, to go to 3-0. Doug Simons took the loss for Savannah. The Blue Crabs saw their win-loss record go to 23-16. At the same time, the Swamp Foxes fell to 18-21.
Contributing to the Ocean City win was Brad Fullmer. In the bottom of the ninth, the 23-year old first baseman had a 2-run double. That made the score 4-3, the Blue Crabs in front.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Jarvis.
