Multi-HR Day for Leius as Blue Crabs Overpower Suns, 11-7
|
The Ocean City Blue Crabs grabbed a 11-7 win over the Jacksonville Suns at Fire Dogs Ballpark. Ocean City shortstop Scott Leius hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice to earn player of the game honors. Ocean City currently is in second place in the Atlantic Southeast at 28-18.
The Blue Crabs got a big at-bat from catcher Einar Diaz. For the game, Diaz went 2-4 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 45th hit of the season gave Ocean City a 1-0 lead.
"We got the victory," said Diaz. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
